A CHRISTMAS CAROL by Charles Dickens

Come join us for Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, on Saturday, December 5th beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Wabash Landing courtyard between Borders Bookstore and Scotty’s Brewhouse in West Lafayette.  The Dickens Players will perform nine acts up and down Main Street, Lafayette and at Wabash Landing, West Lafayette.  The last act will be at Riehle Plaza beginning at 5:25 pm.


Adapted by William J. Book Signing—Author Angie Klink and “John Purdue” (Arliss Jeffries) will sign and sell her lift-the-flap children’s book Purdue Pete Finds His Hammer at Lafayette Savings Bank, 101 Main Street, Lafayette from 3 to 5 p.m., Sat., Dec. 5th. The popular Purdue book boasts a rhyming verse and fun illustrations of campus landmarks. Every visitor will receive a free gift in honor of the 140th anniversary of Lafayette Savings Bank, which was founded by John Purdue in 1869, the same year he founded his university. Several downtown shops will feature crafters who will demonstrate their work in selected business show windows.

Special merchant and restaurant hours are planned to coincide with the Dickens fest and many are featuring special products and promotions.  Get in the holiday spirit and be entertained while you shop for those special holiday gifts.
